| Bude Sharks will be holding a membership renewal week from 8th -13th February at The Splash, which will give all our members the opportunity to pay their annual membership fees. |
These fees, which cover membership of the ASA, South West ASA and the County ASA will be at the following rates for the next year:
Category 1 (non competitive membership) £18
Category 2 (competitive membership) £32
Click here for a copy of the membership form - it would speed things up when you come to 'sign up' at the Splash if you could fill in this form in advance. All cheques for Membership should be made payable to Bude Sharks Swimming Club.
Also attached to the email is a Standing Order form. Standing Order is the club's preferred method of payment for the monthly subs, as it makes it easier to administer - and means that no one can forget to pay at the beginning of each month! We would encourage you to fill this in and take it into your bank.
Currently the subs are £15 per month - and this is used to pay for the hire of the Splash and it's staff for all our sessions. Currently the hire costs are on average just over £1350/month - so you can see why it is so important for us to make sure that everyone swimming with the club is paying their £15 each month!
All members are required to pay their subs every month and for 12 months of the year, regardless of whether you attend the whole month's sessions (unless there are specific medical reasons).
Unfortunately we will have to increase these monthly charges in April as the new financial year will see an increase in the costs payable to Cornwall Council for the use of the Splash and it's staff.
It is likely this will mean monthly subs will be £18 (although we will confirm this nearer the time). However we still think this is still very good value as other local swimming clubs are charging £45 per month.
